ANGUS ANGST

Yes, our dear friends at PETA, aka Looney Tunes Central, have come up with yet another pressing issue we should all be concerned about...roadside memorials for dead cows.

Chicago - An animal rights group wants Illinois to install highway signs in memory of cattle that died when trucks hauling them flipped in two separate wrecks.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants to buy the markers, one in suburban Chicago and one northwest of Peoria. PETA's request to the Illinois Department of Transportation says the signs would pay tribute to the more than 20 head of cattle killed as a result of negligent driving in Illinois this year.

That's right folks. Cows. The hell with all the people who died on those same roads. They don't count for shit in the world of PETA. Soon, they'll probably introduce legislation for seat belts in stock trailers. It's for the calves!

Out west here, where a being vegetarian means you eat only grass-fed beef, the various kook organizations are trying to get rid of the white crosses (Indian Exits) along the road which commemorate where people have died in fatal traffic accidents. Maybe in their place they could put up markers for all the deer, elk, antelope, etc which have become road pizza over the years. It would look like a picket fence.

We here at das blog are also deeply concerned about this bovine bloodbath, so I have submitted these architectural designs to commemorate the Hereford holocaust.

Dang, all this is making me hungry. I think I'll go get a burger.
