AUGUST SNOW

In the old days, smartass mountain men like Jim Bridger used to claim that the Rocky Mountains had only three seasons...July, August and Winter. Going by the fresh snow we got on the Bridgers and the Crazies on August 23rd this year, we may have to amend that to only two seasons.

So, you're just on the other side of the Crazies from me. I look at them from the Billings side.

Up in the Wilsall area. End of July was the first time I went up in the Crazies from "your" side, up to Blue and Twin Lakes via Half Moon.

And I met my neighbor across the creek on the FAL Files before I did in person.

There's an email for the blog at the very bottom of our disclaimer if you want to get in touch.
