Incorporation Begins

During the campaign, candidate Obama said that, while he supported the Second Amendment, what worked in places like Wyoming might not work in New York City. In other words, the Second Amendment should apply in some places but not others. However, the Fourteenth Amendment states, "No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; [...] nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

After the 14th was written (partially justified at the time to keep Southern states from depriving freed slaves of their right to keep and bear arms) the Supreme Court began a process of "incorporation" in which it used the 14th to apply the Bill of Rights against state laws. In the Heller case of last year the Supreme Court ruled that the 2nd Amendment indeed protected an individual right. However, that case dealt with Washington D.C., a federal enclave, not a state. There has been no case formally incorporating the 2nd Amendment against state law... until now.

In the case of Nordyke v. King the 9th Circuit Court ruled that the 2nd Amendment applies against state and local laws as well as federal. In an odd twist, the court upheld the actual law banning guns on county property which caused the lawsuit. All in all, the ruling is good news for gun owners.

Media Full Of Beans On Mexican Gun Numbers

If you've listened to the mainstream media lately you've probably heard the number floating around that 90% of Mexican crime guns come from the U.S. (Not quite satisfied, one intrepid reporterette bumped that up to 95%) Even that pillar of truth Sec. of State Hillary Clinton parroted the statistic. Turns out that the actual number is closer to 17%.

The 90% number comes from the fact that 90% of the captured guns that Mexico sends to our ATF to trace for them, come from the U.S. This is but a small sample of the guns captured from Mexican drug cartels and are the ones that Mexican officials probably suspect came from the U.S. anyway. It is NOT a representative sample of Mexican crime guns.

In 2007-2008 Mexico recovered 29,000 crime guns, according to Fox News. It asked the U.S. ATF to trace about 6,000 of these. Of the 6,000 traced by ATF, 5,114 guns were determined to have come from the U.S. (or about 90% of the traced guns).

ATF assistant-honcho William Hoover stated this number during testimony before Congress and the media twisted it and ran with it. No agenda there!

House Dems Diss Anti-Gun Eric Holder

After Constitution-shredding Attorney General Eric Holder stated earlier this year that the Obama administration would push for reimplementation of the failed ban on so-called "assault weapons," 65 Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives signed on to a letter advising Holder to suck it. Okay, maybe they put it a little more cordially.

“We believe that this ban was ineffective during the 10 years it was law,” the letter states, “and would oppose its reenactment.”

It also stated: “Many of our constituents lawfully own and use these firearms and ammunition magazines that would be affected by a new ban. Indeed, these are commonly owned firearms throughout the country. Law-abiding Americans use these guns for all the same reasons they use any other kind of gun—competitive shooting, hunting, and defending their homes and families.”

At least a few Democrats still have some cajones. They apparently stole them from the GOP.

William Randolf Hearst is vilified to this day for Yellow Journalism, using his vast newspaper network for such shenanigans as getting us involved in the Spanish-American War. It has been said that he "routinely invented sensational stories, faked interviews, ran phony pictures and distorted real events." Sounds like 20/20 to me.

Upton Sinclair noted that Hearst reporters had, "a standing order in all Hearst offices that American Socialism shall never be mentioned favorably." Conversely, today's Lamestream Media reporters have standing orders to never mention American Socialism, and its leader Barack Obama, in an unfavorable manner.

Hearst may have given us the Spanish-American War, but today's press has given us a Socialist empty suit and a teleprompter for president. The MSM blatantly stumped for him during the campaign, Chris Matthew's leg tingling the whole time, created this whole false messiah persona, and got him elected. The popular vote was actually pretty darn close (53% to 46%) even with the GOP apparently trying to lose and the MSM giving Barry billions in free ad campaigns in the guise of hard-hitting "interviews", but the media is still trying to make the election out to be some kind of sweeping landslide “mandate” on par with Reagan's defeat of Mondale in '84. Some claim a 15-point difference in election results due to the media's blatant bias. I'd put it higher, but then I'm a right-wing wing extremist.

Oh, ol' Bob is getting out of hand again. Really? Two immediate examples pop into my head right off the bat. People are still bashing Dan Quayle decades later for misspelling potato but even during the '08 campaign we heard nothing from the Lamestreams on Barry O's 1001 Kenyan gaffes, such as campaigning in 57 states or seeing dead people. Everyone on the continent, including domestic animals, heard all about Republican Senator Larry Craig and the bathroom stall in the airport. But who ever heard from the MSM that Democrat Barney Frank ran a gay prostitution ring out of his Washington D.C. apartment? Show of hands. I thought so.

During the campaign, we got an anal exam of Sarah Palin's baby, daughter, and former in-laws, but the Lamestreams agreed that the Obama family was "off limits" as digging up dirt on them would be rude and unprofessional.

Or perhaps just too revealing. Obama's brother Samson Obama (whom the European press had to "discover" for the American press) couldn't even make it to the inauguration. Why? Last November, he was accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old English girl. Because of this, when he tried to fly through Heathrow en route to Washington D.C., British security denied his visa and sent his butt back to Kenya. We heard all about that from Katie and Tom and the gang didn't we?

How about Obama's illegal alien aunt? When the story finally did surface (thanks to Internet sleuths on the foreign press again), he made brave noises and promises that (a) he had no idea where his "favorite aunt" from one of his umpteen autobiographies was and (b) she would have to obey the law like everyone else. Now that he's in power, of course, Aunt Zeituni gets to stay with no problems.

As for the Big 0 himself, the press doesn't even seem to notice that he can't even stand by his own anti-lobbyist promises (he has about as many lobbyists as tax cheats in the administration these days) nor his promise to post all pending legislation on the Internet for public viewing (the stimulus bill was "too important" to let the peasants see what was actually in it). Even though a senior White house advisor admitted to this, the MSM missed that when it came by.

The outrage over Bush and his cronies and water boarding, and the calls for criminal prosecutions, suddenly faded when it turns out that House Speaker Nancy "the Dunce" Pelosi and some of her Dem cronies knew all about it, too. I'm no fan of torture, but the ever vigilant Press failed to even notice that our own servicemen can be subjected to water boarding. SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) training is given mainly to U.S. aircrews from the various branches. They are the most likely to be shot down and wind up in enemy hands, and, during Vietnam and to some extent in the Gulf War, they were subjected to horrible and ghastly real tortures. To try to prepare them for such a possible ordeal, aircrewmen going through SERE can be interrogated by the "enemy" using these same torture techniques used at Gitmo. It's fine and dandy to do it to an AMERICAN SERVICEMAN but it's horrible and ghastly and beyond all the rules of civilized behavior to do it to Islamic jihadist terrorists who wish to kill us.

Diane Feinstein can go through entire print and electronic "interviews" with the MSM and not have to field a single question about her little scandal involving $25 billion of the taxpayer's money funneled to a government agency that awards her husband's real estate firm huge contracts.

Everything Algore the Goracle spews forth about global warming is gleefully reported as the Gospel truth and never questioned by the Lamestreams. Thus, it should come as no surprise that when Gore was to debate Lord Christopher Monckton, British science advisor to the Iron Lady, former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, the Dems in Congress quickly shut the Brit down and refused to even let him in, let alone testify. Undoubtedly because Al's junk science wouldn't stand up to any real scrutiny. The Goracle's "testimony" was widely reported, but the MSM never uttered a peep about muzzling the Brit.

Well, we could go on like this for days, but what's the point? Yellow journalism is alive and well and stronger than ever in this day and age. I say we keep 'em yellow. Piss on 'em.

There have been other threats to ammunition, such as coding it or taxing it into the stratosphere so that nobody can afford any, but now yet another beastie raises its ugly head.

This one involves the international treaty the Big 0 wants with Mexico to stop "arms trafficking". The Kenyan and his administration, with their willing accomplises in the Lamestream Media rolling over on their backs and peeing on themselves to help, have been out right lying (again). The media hacks claim 90% plus of the guns (like those grenades, machine guns, and grenade launchers) used by Mexican drug cartels are purchased at Cooter's Beer, Bait & Ammo in El Paso.

Already, the Border Patrol has been ordered to increase security checks on AMERICANS LEAVING THIS COUNTRY trying to curb this pox upon the peaceful saints of Mexico. Meanwhile, they still can't catch 25 million illegals and now good old Janet "Reno" Napolitano has stated that just because they are illegal doesn't mean that, well, they are illegal or anything. She also bashes Sherriff Joe Arpio and proagates the "American guns cause Mexican crime" BS in a softball CNN interview.

Anyway, back to the Inter-American Convention Against the Illict Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials Treaty that the political slime on both sides of the Rio Grande are pushing.

According to B.A. Lawson:"The treaty defines 'Illicit manufacturing' as 'the manufacture or assembly of firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials.'It then gives authority for that activity only with 'a license from a competent governmental authority of the State Party where the manufacture or assembly takes place.''The section … clearly identifies ammo reloaders that are not licensed by the government as 'Illicit Manufacturers' of ammunition. Now that we have reloaders properly labeled, lets move down to Article IV to see what we should do with them,' the commentary said.

Article IV states, "State Parties that have not yet done so shall adopt the necessary legislative or other measures to establish as criminal offenses under their domestic law the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials."

So we're kicking not only the 2nd, but definately the 10th and part of the 4th in the force American citizens in their own homes to pander that other pillar onf integrity and honesty, the Mexican government. I have no hope in this change.

It’s funny. Our beloved government, after a decade of the public asking for it, couldn't figure out how to pass a “country of origin labeling” bill for meat, but now they can form a whole new bureaucracy to enforce “food safety” laws…whether you like it or not. As we’ve noted, the fed has already been putting the jackboots to the dreaded Amish and their Holsteins of terror. But of course, it’s OK for companies like Monsanto and their federal “regulator” buddies to contaminate milk. Now the unregulated regulators are coming after…well, just about everybody else.

With some 6,432 bills introduced by the 109th Congress, it’s very hard for the public to keep track of all the mumbo jumbo and very easy for the politicians to sneak in backdoor actions, regulation, and pork. Most Congresscritters in the House and Senate never even read the text of the bills they’re throwing their John Hancocks on. The “Stimulus” bill for instance…a thousand page monstrosity with only five actual print copies for the whole House and only a couple of days for the den of 435 thieves to read it before passage. With such a system, individuals can sneak almost anything through the system. The more corrupt the society, the more numerous its laws.

The bill we are presently concerned with is HR 875, benignly titled The Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009. This is actually halfway honest as Congressional titles go. Not to call our beloved elected “representatives” liars, but if they had a bill dedicated to rounding up every third person and sending them to be made into Soylent Green it would be titled something like “The Sunshine, Puppies and Soft Pillows Act”.

Never mind the fact that we already have multiple government agencies responsible for food safety (and a bang-up job they’ve been doing he says, spitting out a contaminated peanut and some lettuce an illegal farm worker pooped on). When our intelligence agencies failed us miserably before 9/11 because they are big, bloated bureaucratic behemoths, the Bush administration’s clever solution was to form an even bigger and more bureaucratic behemoth.

Now, since the same applies to food safety entities, we must create an even bigger entity. And no federal agency ever solves a problem, no matter how simple, because then they would be out of work. Neither do they confine themselves to doing what they were originally charged with doing. I guaren-goshdarn-tee you that the Forest Circus does next to nothing in the way of “Caring for the land and serving the people” anymore. The new motto is “increasing and perpetuating the bureaucracy.” No matter what agency or corporation we refer to, we should always remember, as Edward Abbey noted, ‘Growth simply for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell.”

Before we get to the “meat” (ha-ha...get it?) of the bill, let’s take a quick peek at who sponsored it. Representative Rosa L. DeLauro (D - CT) just happens to be married to Stan Greenberg, who is a Monsanto “subcontractor”, received $180,000 from Corporate Ag’s PACs, and is best buds with our old friend Obama flunky Rahm Emanual.

Coincidentally, Monsanto is all over this bill like stink on hog crap. (No jokes at the moment about $2,000,000 in “pork” to study said stink.) They currently only have about a 95% monopoly on food growing in this country, but that ain’t enough for them. There’s plenty of stuff on Monsanto and their evil antics. Aside from all the genetic mutations they design into our food crops, grains especially, (could this be why honeybees are dying in disturbing numbers around the continent?) they are also making plant seed sterile. This means the seeds are either non-existent or will not reproduce. You then sell the Franken-seeds all over the world, at first at very cheap prices. Then, once all the real seed stock is gone and Monsanto is the only source available, you can really jack the price up. It looks like Europe at least is starting to wake up to the game. I believe Germany recently outlawed the cultivation of mutated American seed.

Anyway, the bill itself, in its convoluted wording, seems at first glance benign enough. To battle detractors who claim this bill could in effect outlaw organic farming, backers note that the term "organic" does not appear in the bill. It doesn’t need to be. Some definitions can be interpreted so broadly that the government can make them mean anything they want.

For instance, during the Roosevelt (the Socialist, not the eugenics fan with the big stick) administration the U.S. Supreme Court decided that a farmer growing his own corn on his own land to feed his own pigs was engaged in interstate commerce!!! By not purchasing corn, he was affecting the interstate market for it.

As for HR 875, Section III defines Food Production Facility as “any farm, ranch, orchard, vineyard, aquaculture facility, or confined animal-feeding operation.” That could include anything from a half a dozen laying hens in the backyard to grandma’s zucchini garden. Section 206 gives the feds the “right” to come onto your place at will to “inspect” your chickens or zucchinis. Other “safety” definitions in this section could be interpreted to mean food has to be treated with Big Ag’s herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, genetic alterations, chemical processes, etc. to be made “safe”.

Unfortunately, with the denizens of Sodom on Potomac throwing around about 40 new bills per day, it’s getting almost impossible for the public to have any representation of their voice among their, well, representatives. I’m getting so tired of living in interesting times.

I don't know where to start. We certainly live in interesting times. This week has seen a flicker of hope drowned by our worst fears of a socialist police state coming true.

A winter storm watch and a 90-mile drive kept me from attending the nearest Tea Party in my neck of the woods, but I'm glad thousands of others across the country made it. Although the mainstream media begrudgingly reported it, I have already seen a couple of articles suggesting we were mind-numbed robots acting on the orders of a couple of supposed right-wing Republican (ha-ha!) websites I'd never heard of before and toadies and apologists for the Kenyan are already doing their best to marginalize the thing. When a couple hundred "oppressed minorities", many of them paid to attend the event and bussed in, have a shin-dig in a single location it is major news, but 750 grass roots demonstrations across the country by tens of thousands of people is no big deal.

One messiah cheerleader I heard a tape of basically told us cry-baby weasel scum to STFU, pony up, and pay our taxes. Easy for him to say...everyone associated with the Big 0's administration gets to cheat on their taxes. Taxes are for "the rich" and the surviving handful of employed peasants.

Meanwhile, back at the Ministry of Love, a Department of Homeland Security memo, not unlike the recent Virginia State and Missouri State Police memos, became public. The long and short of it is that anyone who dares to voice, or even think, dissent against Big Brother is now a right-wing extremist terrorist. We're watching you right now, Winston.

How can you tell if you are a right-wing extremist terrorist? Answer these few questions:

Do you believe in the Constitution of these United States, the Second Amendment to the Bill of Rights in particular? Are you a military veteran? Do you oppose killing the unborn? Do you think immigration laws should be enforced? Do you find the federal government over-stepping its bounds and prefer state and local government control? Do you have more than a weeks' supply of food in the house? Do you believe the Word of God, especially the chapter of Revelations? Do you think you should be employed and your job should not be exported to Mexico or overseas?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, congratulations! You are a right-wing extremist potential terrorist! Forget those Islamic suicide bombers who crash airplanes into skyscrapers and actually kill people...YOU are the real threat to these here United States. Despite the flak over this from everybody from talk radio to the American Legion, the Kenyan's administration, in the form of Homeland Security Secretary Janet "Reno II" Napolitano, is standing by the report.

Much of this garbage comes from the Southern Poverty Law Center, the money front for Morris Dees, also known as Morris Sleaze. It should come as no surprise that he's sticking his little cloven hoof in. Sleaze and the SPLC have all the integrity of late night Texaco urinal bacteria and a propaganda bent that makes Pravda and Joseph Goebbels look like pillars of integrity. That major law enforcement agencies and the CBS evening news quote and rely on these frauds as "experts" really illustrates the sheer bias and political agenda being pushed by the lamestream media and

The worst part, coming from another Napolitano, Judge Andrew Napolitano, is that this deliberately leaked sanitized memo is just the tip of the iceberg. Just image what the classified stuff says. (Shudders as if someone has stepped on his grave.)

States' Rights and the Left

Here's an excerpt from an excellent article by conservative commentator Jack Hunter:

So being "backward" or "reactionary" now means questioning the power of government or invoking "horrible" men like Calhoun. And being "progressive" or "forward-thinking" now means fully embracing government and invoking those like Obama and liberal hero FDR.

And yet, I know few liberals who support the War on Drugs, marriage "protection" amendments, or the Patriot Act. In fact, if you talk to the most vocal Leftists about drug criminalization, gay marriage, or the loss of civil liberties, their anti-government rhetoric can sound downright reactionary. "Government has within it a tendency to abuse its powers," Calhoun said. Today, much of the American Left agrees with him.

So how do liberals square their fear of intrusive government with their enthusiasm for Obama? The opposite question could also be asked: how did so many conservatives square their fear of big government with their enthusiasm for President George W. Bush, whose unprecedented spending and increasing of the power of the state set the stage for Obama?

Sadly, most liberals or conservatives never think in such terms. Bush Republicans had no problem with big government so long as their guy was in charge of it, and now the same is true of Obama Democrats.

Some already comprehend the liberal value of states' rights. In an article entitled "The New States' Rights?" published by the San Francisco Chronicle in 2007, authors David Davenport and Gordon Lloyd wrote, "Just when you thought federalism was dead, and the 10th Amendment guaranteeing power to the states had been erased from the Constitution, state governments have asserted themselves on an astonishing array of issues traditionally the province of the federal government.

Campaign For Liberty Staffer Detained In Missouri!

Bawb reported last month that a state/national law enforcement agency in Missouri circulated a bulletin warning law enforcement officials that third-party supporters of people like Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Balwin should be assumed to be domestic terrorists kooks. Apparently law enforcement was listening.

Steve Bierfeldt, a staffer for Ron Paul's Campaign For Liberty (C4L), was detained by airport police and TSA officials and taken to an interrogation room at the St. Louis Airport shortly after the C4L's St. Louis rally.

His crime? Carrying Ron Paul bumper stickers and cash!

Luckily, Steve was able to record some of the interrogation with his cell phone. The recording was played on the show Judge Napolitano’s "Freedom Watch." Follow the following link to watch the video:

The horse is dead. Get off.


1. Buy a bigger whip.
2.Change riders.
3. Appoint a committee to study the horse.
4. Arrange lavish Congressional junkets to Caribbean nations to see how other cultures ride horses.
5. Lower that standards so that dead horses can be included.
6. Reclassify the dead horse as "living impaired" so as not to discriminate.
7. Hire outside contractors to ride the dead horse.
8. Harness several dead horses together to increase speed.
9. Provide additional funding and training to increase dead horse's performance.
10. Do a 2-year $70,000,000 productivity study to see if lighter riders would improve the dead horse's performance.
11. Declare that as the dead horse does not have to be fed, it is less costly, carries lower overhead, and therefor contributes substantially more to the bottom line of the economy than a live horse.
12. Rewrite the expected performance requirements for all equines.
13. Promote the dead horse to a supervisory position.


Thankfully, some 26 Democrats have recently broken ranks and stepped out of goosestep with the far left eco-kooks of their party and voted against the most recent BS cap-and-trade climate change legislation. Happily, both Montana senators were in that category. We hardly need to cripple what's left of American industry even more with needless feel-good solutions to a problem that doesn't really exist anyway.

It's a start, but much more needs to be done to penetrate the religious fervor of hypnotized fanatical devotees of the Goracle and the Cult of Global Warming. Perhaps we should note how often this goofy crap has been wrong, and for how long.

The year was 1895, and it was just one of four different time periods in the last 100 years when major print media predicted an impending climate crisis. Each prediction carried its own elements of doom, saying Canada could be “wiped out” or lower crop yields would mean “billions will die.”

As I noted, although I got the dates wrong (the 70's was a long time ago), at one time, the greatest threat to mankind in our own lifetimes to was Global Cooling and the coming Ice Age. For those of you who can't remember the Reagan years, we were not threatened by a single mammoth stampede. Some would say Jimmy Carter averted the Ice Age threat by instituting more bloated, ineffective Federal bureaucracies such as the EPA. People who would say that are known as idiots.

At any rate, we were bombarded by media and "scientific" hype about the big mean scary old glaciers...OOOooooOOOOooo... that failed to materialize. Even though this theory was proven to be not only wrong, but downright asinine, it didn't stop the media and other assorted kooks from jumping on the Global Warming bandwagon in lemming-like masses when it came trundling along.
As the big screw-up of Global Cooling made the big screw-up of Global Warming look bad, since the former was so patently wrong and yet some of those same "experts" were on board with the new cult, the latest, greatest fad amongst the eco-kooks is to play down the old Global Cooling scare as media hype from ignorant, alarmist journalists. Unlike the pillars of accuracy and integrity we have today. There was no consensus of real scientists, they insist.
Well, if they would come up for air and take a good hard look at the "science" of today, they would see that there is no consensus of real scientists right now on Global Whining either. We've noted this before.
But the enviro-wackos will have to wait another thirty years before they admit that the present day kooks are kooks so it will not discredit whatever Armageddon-de-jour they're pushing in 2039.
