Gun Ban Skank Confirmed To Supreme Court
Radical gun-hater and brown supremacist, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, was confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court by the Senate. Sotomayor, you may recall, ruled that “the right to possess a gun is clearly not a fundamental right,” and that the Second Amendment should not apply to the states (via the 14th Amendment) and believes that America has a "Deadly Obsession" with guns. Sotomayor will replace "Justice" David Souter (a contemptible little rat-like oxygen-thief who was no friend of the Second Amendment either).
Nine Republican turncoat weasels in the Senate stabbed gun owners in the back, voting for Sotomayor. They were: Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Christopher Bond of Missouri, Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Richard G. Lugar of Indiana, Mel Martinez of Florida, George Voinovich of Ohio and Susan Collins and Olympia J. Snowe of Maine.
BATFE Reform Bills Introduced In House and Senate
NRA-ILA reports, "Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) have introduced S. 941, the “Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Reform and Firearms Modernization Act of 2009” in the U.S. Senate. Representatives Steve King (R-Iowa) and Zack Space (D-Ohio) have introduced a companion bill—H.R. 2296—in the U.S. House. The bills would roll back unnecessary restrictions, correct errors, and codify longstanding congressional policies in the firearms arena. These bipartisan bills are a vital step to modernize and improve BATFE operations."
NRA-ILA has a fact sheet on the bill here.
You're urged to contact your U.S. Senators and Representative, and ask them to cosponsor and support S. 941 and H.R. 2296. You can call your U.S. Senators at (202) 224-3121, and your U.S. Representative at (202) 225-3121.
Radio Tracking Tags In Guns?
An article in the September 1 issue of Gun Week tells of a U.S. government program in which radio frequency identification (RFID) tags have been secretly implanted in firearms. Thankfully this has only been used to track illegal arm sales to foreign terrorists so far.
However, given the fact that we have a presidential administration that views gun owners as little more than terrorists and a Congress that entertains every idea on how to mark, register and identify guns and gun owners, domestic uses of the technology may not be far off. It would seem to only be a matter of time before some boneheaded Congress-critter proposes making these devices mandatory on private arms owned in the U.S.
We might want to watch for that one coming down the pike.

Why not RFID chips in guns? They want 'em in every animal now, and someday they'll want you to get one in your head or hand.
