OBERGUPPENFUHRER OF STUPID: SHEILA JACKSON LEE TO HEAD UP DHS?

Well, we thought the so-called Patriot Act and the formation of the Department of Homeland Security were really bad ideas when Bush Jr. and Company foisted them upon us in the holy name of “sacrificing freedom for security.”

The existing myriad of heavily-armed and semi-unaccountable alphabet soup agencies had all the pieces to the 9/11 puzzle beforehand but the various bloated bureaucracies were all too busy fighting each other over budgets, power and turf to put the pieces together. Well, that and the CIA’s employees were too busy sewing mandatory “Diversity Quilts” to be out gathering intelligence on terrorists.

Shrub’s obvious solution was to create yet another, even larger and more complex heavy-handed bureaucracy so that all the various intelligence agencies could gather under one big Police State umbrella while they squabbled over budgets, power and turf.

Then along came Mr. Socialism himself, Barack Hussein Obama, who did everything he could to make DHS larger, more powerful, less accountable and utterly inefficient. He appointed as Obergruppenfuhrer of the Homeland Security one Janet Incompetano. This choice apparently stemmed solely from her qualifications of (a) having a vagina and (b) being a Liberal.

Obergruppenfuhrer Janet jumped right on board the popular Obama "more-power/less-accountability" bandwagon; she worked hard from the beginning to make DHS virtually irrelevant against actual terrorists, but a huge threat to American citizens and their rights. She immediately made the use of the word “terrorism” verboten in her domain; we only had to worry about “man-caused disasters”. She even ruled out the use of the word “terrorist” until she herself needed to use the word to label American military veterans. Muslims terrorists were pretty much ignored so that Janet’s Gestapo could concentrate on the perilous threat of “Rightwing Extremists” which, under DHS guidelines, went from being just veterans to basically anyone who did not contribute directly to Barack Obama’s campaign. She was never worried about the open floodgates masquerading as our border with Mexico since illegally crossing the border is, again according this attorney's own words, “not a crime per se.” Janet did rake those pesky Canadians over the coals, though, for letting all those 9/11 hijackers into the US, the total number of whom actually came through Canada being...zero.

Even though she and her ever more powerful groping TSA minions slaved away, and again I quote directly, “24/7, 364 days a year” to keep us all safe, that 365^th day when things were left wide open almost proved tragic. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, cleverly concealing his dangerous rightwing extremist tendencies under a cloak of radical Islamic hatred, was not on any no-fly list or security alert even though his own father, chairman of the First Bank of Nigeria, had personally warned the United States Embassy about his son’s terrorist radicalization. He was able to purchase a one-way ticket in Yemen, with cash, booking a seat specifically over the aircraft’s fuel tank, declaring no baggage, and casually referring to fellow travelers as, “Imperialist Yankee spawn-of-Satan Infidel pig-dogs!”, boarded Northwest Flight 253 unsearched and unflagged by security. Likewise, his transfer in Amsterdam set off no alarm bells. Umar got to the terrorist one-yard line, attempting to detonate the bomb he had concealed in his pants as the plane approached Detroit. Fortunately, his bomb misfired, burning instead of exploding, and civilian airline passengers had to wrestle him to the ground and detain him themselves.

As the story unfolded, Janet patted herself on the back and assured the American flying public they were still perfectly safe because, “The system worked." In fact, she later claimed it worked, "…like clockwork.” Perhaps she meant that it worked like the clockwork in the fizzled bomb in Umar’s underwear.

Her system “worked” just as well in Boston, perhaps not exactly like clockwork, but at least like a “$700 billion security failure.” Sure, maybe the CIA and Russian Intelligence agencies had warned about the terrorists in question, maybe they’d traveled freely back and forth from the US to hotbeds of Muslim terrorism where they disappeared for months at a time, maybe other members of the family were already on terrorist lists, and maybe they’d even posted their terrorist fantasies and intentions on facebook, to include home-made music videos such as I Will Dedicate My Life to Jihad!

But DHS had bigger fish to fry, keeping an eye on veterans and Catholics and the like, and just didn’t have time to look into the matter until after the terrorists actually set off their bombs. Then DHS was all over it like stink on shit, reacting almost instantaneously to close the barn door after the horse was gone, locking down the entire city of Boston in a Martial Law Police State with 9,000 armed agents. Despite flooding the streets with armored vehicles and heavily armed men, shutting down all work and transport in the city, conducting warrantless searches at will, and practicing safe gun handling techniques not seen since the Three Stooges movies, the younger terrorist managed to escape. It finally took the sleuthing skills of an ordinary citizen going out into his backyard to have a smoke (he was later fined by the EPA and the Health Nazis for that) to find the remaining terrorist for the jackboots. Once he was located, the well-trained, professional and calm government agents (who are the only people responsible enough to keep and bear arms) managed to engage in a two-hour gun battle with the terrorist and expend over 200 rounds before discovering that the no one was actually shooting back and that the 19-year-old jihadist was himself unarmed.  

That latest success being seen as a career-crowning achievement she could not hope to top, not even by being completely unable to account for more than a million foreigners who have entered the US, Janet decided recently to step down from her DHS Obergruppenfuhrer position to make room for some new blood in the administration.

Many breathed a sigh of relief. Surely, not even Barack Obama could come up with a new Obergruppenfuhrer worse than Janet. Think again. Being put forth by the Congressional Black Caucus as the top pick for Obergruppenfuhrer II is none other than Texas Congresscritter Sheila Jackson Lee. Oh Sheila is, to put a fine point on it, pretty much a complete moron. This is the woman who doesn’t know the difference between Korea and Vietnam, even when giving a lengthy speech on the subject, and who, perhaps more alarmingly, doesn’t know the difference between the Moon and Mars. Mixing up a country or two I can see, but entire planets?!?!

Oh Sheila is right in line with Janet when it comes to ferreting out the real Enemy of the State. That enemy was not Venezuelan Commie Dictator Hugo Chavez, whom she wanted our country to sell F-16s to. It was not rogue state terrorism-sponsor Syrian President Bashar Assad, whom the Congresscritter invited to come speak in Texas. It certainly wasn’t Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez when he ran the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division which, “...perversely abused the civil rights of Americans, abused the fiscal trust of the taxpayers and abused the rule of law.” Among his other accomplishments, Perez could find no wrong-doing in Black Panthers conducting voter intimidation at the polls, and was noted for fighting tooth and nail against individual states who sought voting law reform, to include seeking to purge the voter rolls of dead people. Not allowing the deceased to vote was a big violation of their civil rights, according to Perez. Especially in Chicago. It should come as no surprise that Oh Sheila led the charge to defend this Great American against the racist Republican slurs besmirching his integrity.

No sirree, Bawb. Sheila knows the real threat to this country is Whitey and his racism and, as a former slave herself, she knows about it personally and intimately. “I stand here as a freed slave because this congress came together!” Sheila’s only apparent strength as a black leader is her ability to…convincingly, mind you…accuse anyone or anything of being racist. She has railed against incipient racism (and I’m not making this up) found in hurricanes, Pepsi commercials, Secret Service agents, a balanced budget and of course those Tea Party bastards, who are obviously extensions of the KKK because they wear, “…uh, clothing with a name.” Sheila or Barry going on about “clothing with a name” strikes me as rather like the pot calling the kettle black. Ooops, using that old expression is now a racist Hate Crime. I supposed I can expect a DHS tank through my front wall very soon.

It’s bad enough that Oh Sheila is dumber than a box of rocks, but we must also add to the volatile mix arrogance, conceit and narcissism…hey, I guess I am starting to understand what Barry might see in her. Year after year, Lee has beaten her 534 Congressional colleagues hands down as “the Worst Boss in Washington” and also enjoys the highest turn-over rate in staffers of any Congress-critter. One former staffer said working for her was like serving a tour in Iraq and another said, “People don’t tell the worst of the stories, because they’re really unbelievable.” Oh Sheila’s favorite pet nickname for staffers, oft repeated and at the top of her lungs, is, “You stupid motherf*****!”

A few more direct quotes from the queen show that while no one else might think much of her, she has more than enough admiration for herself to go around.

“I’m Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee! Who do you think you are?”

“You don’t understand. I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen!”

“Don’t you know who I am? I’m Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee! Where is my seafood meal! I know it was ordered!”

“What? What did you say to me? Who are you, the Congresswoman? You haven’t been elected! You don’t set up meetings with me! I tell you! You know what? You are the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my life!”

Whoa! Down, Sheila! That last quote kind of puts us back in the pot calling the kettle black territory again.

Yikes! An armored DHS MRAP carrying a heavily-armed SWAT team just crushed the front deck on my house. I gotta go! But I guess we can conclude from this that “the system” will still “work like clockwork” under a new Obergruppenfuhrer, even one as dumb as Oh Sheila.

THE TERRORISTS HAVE ALREADY WON

First accelerating after 9/11 with the Bush Administration and the odious, misnamed Patriot Act and creation of the Department of Homeland Security, and then re-doubling again with the beginning of the reign of the untouchable Barack Obama, the federal government has been usurping power, demanding money, and trampling upon American rights at an unprecedented rate. Fed.gov has dozens, nay hundreds of agencies, employing millions, a giant jumbo-sized serving of alphabet soup. Most of these agencies are supposedly tasked with keeping our citizens safe or protecting the rule of law or both, quite often redundantly via multiple agencies.

Recently, every last one of them failed us…disastrously…again.

          One of the few things the Constitution tasks specifically to the federal government is the important mission of securing our borders. They do not, sometimes through incompetence and now increasingly through malfeasance originating within the federal government itself, instigated for political gain by men and women in the highest elected offices in the country. Our borders were wide open to two Muslim “political refugees” coming from a Chechen enclave in Kyrgyzstan. Chechnya remains the hottest hotbed of Islamic terrorism in Europe; at the time the bombers emigrated, the capital city of Grozny still lay in ruins after a months-long war between jihadists and the Russian Army. Just like our borders, the doors of Cambridge University, an elite institute of “learning” barred to the vast majority of American students, swung wide open for one of the two future terrorists.

          Through the years, the terrorists couldn’t help but to leave clues concerning the direction they were taking. In various netherworlds, vast, expensive and redundant government entities look down upon us all in Orwellian fashion, listening to our conversations, monitoring our every activity on-line, seeing what we purchase, following the GPS on our automobiles, keeping track and, perhaps more importantly to them, keeping score. They constantly demand more and more access…for instance, the IRS said just weeks ago that they do not need a warrant to intercept and read your personal email…to the last remnants of personal privacy, a right of the citizen ostensively protected by the government. All of these powers failed to notice as the bombers posted YouTube videos glorifying bombings in the name of Allah or songs like “I Will Dedicate my Life to Jihad!” or links to known radical jihadist clerics. The powers that be were too busy at the time working with the military and “intelligence sources” like the SPLC to develop profiles of real terrorists, such as “Roman Catholics” or “Evangelical Christians”, to put on government watch lists.

          The Russian Army fought another war in Chechnya against jihadists, this one leaving the confines of Grozny and spreading across the entire country. The American government, press and people did not seem to notice. A Russian intelligence agency contacted the American government, voicing concerns over ties between one of the bombers and Chechen Islamic terrorist organizations.  The American FBI found nothing of concern. Afterwards, one bomber flew out of the United States to visit “Russia”, after which he disappeared into Chechnya and Dagestan. A half a year later he came back through American Customs and Immigrations, DHS, FBI, TSA, etc. to find wide open arms and no questions, even though he was still not traveling as an American citizen.

The government agency charged with alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives does not prosecute over 99% of the criminals caught in the act of attempting to illegally purchase firearms and knowingly allowed thousands of firearms into the hands of Mexican drug cartels where they have been used to inflict some 400+ Mexican and American deaths. It should come as no surprise that this same agency also fail to notice or prevent the terrorists from building their bombs with what a recent police report now says were “military grade” explosives.

After the bombs went off, when the première federal government law enforcement agency had identified the bombers, at first they would not release photographs of them for fear of being politically incorrect. Initially, the only description they would cautiously release was to refer to the bombers as “dark-skinned”. Perhaps had their faces and descriptions been known and released earlier, the police officer who approached them while they sought to plant more bombs at the MIT campus might have been more cautious and not been shot to death by the “boys”.

They hijacked an SUV belonging to some citizen the government obviously failed to protect and fled MIT, tossing bombs out the window, severely wounding one of the pursuing police officers. The older bother was fatally wounded by police in the chase. The younger escaped.

A major American city of some three million people is besieged, not by the bombers or by an invading army, but by the government agencies still “protecting” them. Businesses are forced to close, transportation grinds to a standstill, people are imprisoned within their own homes, again not by the bombers but by the government. An army…9,000 law enforcement agents of various types, complete with armored vehicles mounting machine guns and covered by an umbrella of helicopters…march like Gestapo through residential neighborhoods of quiet, law-abiding citizens, entering homes and conducting warrantless searches at will, or pulling entire families from their homes on a whim, with no regard for the 4^th Amendment and any of the other “safeguards” the government says will protect us. The terrorist remains at large despite the massive curfew and manhunt.

When an average citizen is finally allowed by the government to leave his own house, he goes to smoke a cigarette in his own backyard and thus tracks down the lone fugitive that nine thousand heavily armed trained government professionals could not.

In response, the well-conditioned sheeple of Massachusetts cheer the government which failed them every step of the way.

If you believe now that we need still more laws, more government agencies, more government agents, more military weapons in the hands of same, more taxes to support their growth, less privacy and fewer Constitutional rights, then yes, the terrorists have already won.

TANKS A LOT

 “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

You may not remember that “private army” quote from The One in 2008. And well you shouldn’t. You’re probably distracted and cowering in fear. After all, that big, mean, scary “sequester” boogieman threatens to strip the poor little starving fed.gov of its ability to “protect” us, just as Obama said on a recent $1,000,000-trip to go play a round of golf with Tiger Woods. The Secret Service cannot afford to allow public tours of the Whitehouse anymore due to the money crunch and we’ve all heard the other Big Bad Wolf stories the O and his O-Bots are spinning; “Draconian budget cuts” will disrupt essential services and delay air travelers. Luckily, however, DHS was just able to scratch up just enough pennies ($50 million worth) for some snazzy new uniforms. Whew! That was a close one!

The dire threat of fractionally decreasing a drop or two of blood to the engorged federal tick has led to other, more dire threats to public security as well. For instance, DHS can only afford to purchase a measly 1.6 billion rounds of small arms ammunition. To put that trifling amount into perspective, that would have sustained the US Army for only twenty or so years of hard combat in Iraq during the height of the war.

Perhaps even more alarming is the fact that at the moment DHS’ armored columns are restricted to little more than 2,700 MRAPs. As background to those who might not be familiar with MRAP, it means Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle. Land mines having only been in regular military use since before the American Civil War, it came as a huge shock to US military brass and government leaders when mines were encountered in Iraq. Only $50 billion and a mere six years later, Congress gave our troops the MRAPs, based on what the Rhodesians pieced together on their own in a matter of months in the 1970’s. Essentially a 14-ton wheeled Armored Personnel Carrier, the MRAP has a well-armored V-shaped hull underneath to deflect all but the biggest mine blasts, huge run-flat tires, standard armor against small arms fire up to .50-caliber, firing ports for the passengers to shoot from, and a manual “gun tub” turret on top to mount trinkets like .50-caliber Browning machine guns or Mk 19 40mm automatic grenade launchers.

If you’re asking just why DHS needs all that ammo and all those armored fighting vehicles, shut your pie hole. If you really wanna know, a tank and a bunch of commandos will come through your wall shortly to explain in graphic detail.

Besides, 2,717 is a rather piddling number of MRAPs. Just think! To put that one into perspective, if this were 1939 Obama would only be able to equip a mere seven Waffen SS Panzer Divisions if he desired to invade Poland. And you thought DHS didn’t need them! Besides, the Sheeple will be pleased to note that some of the domestic MRAPs have “POLICE-RESCUE” (really!) painted on the side, not just something militant like “DHS” or “STASI” or “NKVD”. They really can be considered rescue vehicles when you think about it. Hitler used them to rescue France, the Low Countries, the Balkans, etc. from themselves and Stalin was able to rescue all of Eastern Europe for nearly fifty years!

Meanwhile, Premiere Obama, Nancy “Not Even a Useful Idiot” Pelosi, and their assorted ilk are screaming that YOU, dear peasant, don’t need a gun to protect yourself with. Methinks they doth protest too much.

Murrow Building.

Authorities Raid Picnic in Nevada--Force Chef to Pour Bleach on Good Food.

Once State authoritarians learned that the farm was hosting a picnic without their permission, they descended like flies upon a dying carcass. The authoritarians demanded the farm purchase permission from them to host the event or face an enormous fine; which the farm agreed to do. But clearly, this just wasn’t good enough for the authoritarians.

After purchasing permission to host the event from the Nevada Health District, the farm was told that the permit would be delivered by a health inspector on the day of the event. So the farm went about preparing for the event as it normally would, fully expecting to be issued a permit on the day of the picnic. Well it turns out that Mary G. Oakes, the health inspector for the event, didn’t show up until their guests were arriving!

By the time the inspector showed up, the farm had already begun preparation of the food for the event. This threw the inspector into an authoritarian rage, who began yelling “NOTHING TAKES PLACE UNTIL YOU HAVE MY PERMISSION!” When the farmers asked why they couldn’t continue preparing food as the inspection was underway, the inspector simply stamped her feet and said “because I said so.” – no valid reason was ever provided.

FAST & FURIOUS RUCKUS DOESN'T STOP BACKDOOR FEDERAL GUN CONTROL IN STATES WITH MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAWS

Bringing out the Big Guns:

Troubled by continual fallout from the asinine Fast & Furious ATF operation, the most cerebral president ever calls in the "A-Team" of his best and brightest advisers and appointees, his intellectual peers, for a late night damage control strategy session.

In it's never ending quest to expand its powers and funding, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, Explosives, Knives, Pointy Scissors, and Sharp Sticks' undercover "sting", Operation Fast and Furious, was so outrageous and out-of-line even for an agency already seen as rogue and incompetent by other Federal law enforcement agencies, that even the mainstream media was forced to cover it. This brilliant sting operation, apparently planned with the full coordination of such ATF senior officials as Wile E. Coyote, Colonel Wilhelm Klink,and Boris (Say da name!) Badinov, had the end result of creating more crime, more deaths, and arming drug dealers and street gangs on the taxpayers' dime.

Shyster General Eric Holder and his ilk are squirming like a den of rattlesnakes with gasoline poured on them, doing their best to obfuscate, duck, avoid, scapegoat and slither away from the issue, but it just won't go away. Holder was caught "misleading" Congress and it appears even the Whitehouse may have known about the plan. The Arizona Sheriff's Association and more Senators are jumping on Senator Chuck Grassley's (R-IA) bandwagon looking into the malfeasance,. There's even talk (probably just talk to appease us gun nuts until the storm blows over) of disbanding the ATF. HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A federal ban on selling guns or ammunition to medical marijuana users raises constitutional concerns and complicates matters for states where medical use of the drug is legal, Montana's attorney general said Monday.

Steve Bullock wrote U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder a letter in which he says the federal government should act carefully "when its laws and policies involve conflicts with those of the states."

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives last month notified firearms dealers nationwide that medical marijuana users are not exempt from a federal law making it illegal for a drug user or addict to possess a gun or ammunition, even if they are registered in a state-sanctioned program.

The ATF's Sept. 21 letter to federal firearms licensees said dealers can't sell a gun or ammunition if they have reasonable cause to believe the buyer is using a controlled substance, such as if the buyer uses his medical marijuana card as identification or talks about drug use.

Bullock said the ATF's "unilateral proclamation" raises Second Amendment and Fifth Amendment issues about gun rights, equal protection and due process. [Personally, I'd include the 10th Amendment in there as well]. In addition, the letter creates policy and practical concerns, such as the responsibility placed on firearms dealers, he said.

As if that wasn't stupid enough, state fish & game agencies, which are already pretty limited on their game control options, have been told to stop using "Scarecrow" shotguns shells. These are essentially a shotgun shell which launches an M-80 firecracker a couple of hundred feet where it explodes. They are used for such things as chasing bears out of campgrounds or running elk off of hay stackyards. There hasn't been much resistance from our state agency as far as I can tell, even though it has pissed them off too. With any luck, that may become a running sore for the Feds too if the states get off their butts.

Here's hoping the jack-booted thugs reap what they have sown and get a nice big kick in the nuts.

USDA OUT OF CONTROL

I can't even make jokes about this one. The USDA is attacking a Missouri family for raising rabbits! The Federal government is completely out of control in so many ways it's not even funny. This shit has got to stop. Here's the article in full.

(NaturalNews) When the Dollarhite family of Nixa, Mo., first started raising and selling bunnies as part of a lesson to teach their teenage son about responsibility and hard work, they had no idea they would eventually meet the heavy hand of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). According to a recent article covered in Breitbart's Big Government, the USDA recently ordered the Dollarhite family to pay more than $90,000 in fines because they sold more than $500 worth of rabbits in a year -- and if they fail to pay the fine by Monday, May 23, the fine will multiply to nearly $4 million.

It all started back in 2006 when John Dollarhite and his wife Judy rescued two rabbits that ended up breeding. The family cared for and raised the new rabbits, and eventually began to sell them to neighbors, friends, and others for $10 or $15 each. Having started by first selling the animals for meat, and later for show, the Dollarhites carefully and humanely raised the small creatures on their three-acre homestead, all while teaching their son honest values in a business environment similar to running a small lemonade stand.

Eventually, the Dollarhites developed such a highly-respected reputation across Missouri that the popular Branson, Mo., theme park Silver Dollar City, and even a local pet store, Petland, began purchasing bunnies from the family in 2009. And according to John, individuals from both Silver Dollar City and Petland, as well as a rabbit competition judge, told him that the family's bunnies were among the best they had ever seen -- healthy, beautiful, and very well-cared for.

All seemed well until a USDA inspector showed up at the family's home in the fall of 2009, and asked to do a "spot inspection" of the rabbitry. The inspector made no indication that anything was amiss, but only that she wished to see the facility. After meandering the premises, the inspector claimed that a few very insignificant aspects of theraising facility were in violation of USDA standards, even though the Dollarhites were not USDA certified, nor were they required to be. She then asked if the Dollarhites wished to be part of the voluntary USDA certification system, upon which they told her they would look into it.

After the inspector left, the Dollarhites heard nothing more from the USDA until January 2010 when a Kansas City-based USDA inspector called the family and said he needed to have a meeting with them because they sold more than $500 worth of rabbits in a single year. When the Dollarhites asked why this was a problem and what law this violated, the man refused to offer an explanation over the phone.

Upon meeting in person, the inspector said he was only there to investigate the rabbitry and take notes for a report, upon which he instructed the family to contact another USDA office if they failed to hear anything further from the USDA after six weeks. As the eighth week arrived without any communication, John called the office and was redirected to the Washington, DC, office where a lady shockingly and bluntly explained to him that she had his report, and that the USDA planned to prosecute him and his family "to the maximum that we can" in order to "make an example" out of him.

Shortly thereafter, the Dollarhites received a letter from the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) ordering them to pay a fine of $90,643 for supposedly violating a mystery law that prohibits the selling of more then $500 in rabbits within a year, even though the Dollarhites were in full accordance with Missouri state law, did not sell their rabbits across state lines, and raised their rabbits humanely and in excess of minimum requirements. The letter outlined that the Dollarhites had until May 23 to pay the exorbitant fine, or else face additional fines totaling nearly $4 million -- all for selling about $4,600 worth of rabbits that netted the family a mere $200 in profits.

The whole scenario proves, once again, that the USDA is nothing more than a tag-team terrorist duo with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Both agencies' insatiable lust for power and control over private affairs is never satisfied, as they continue to prowl around like bloodthirsty predators seeking whoever and whatever they can devour. When will Americans finally stand up to their tyranny and say enough is enough?

"As many as 14 armed Orange County deputies, including narcotics agents, stormed Strictly Skillz barbershop during business hours on a Saturday in August, handcuffing barbers in front of customers during a busy back-to-school weekend.

It was just one of a series of unprecedented raid-style inspections the Orange County Sheriff's Office recently conducted with a state regulating agency, targeting several predominantly black- and Hispanic-owned barbershops in the Pine Hills area.

In "sweeps" on Aug. 21 and Sept. 17 targeting at least nine shops, deputies arrested 37 people — the majority charged with "barbering without a license," a misdemeanor that state records show only three other people have been jailed in Florida in the past 10 years.

The operations were conducted without warrants, under the authority of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors, who can enter salons at will. Deputies said they found evidence of illegal activity, including guns, drugs and gambling. However, records show that during the two sweeps, and a smaller one in October, just three people were charged with anything other than a licensing violation."

Honestly, the government has become so absurd I can't even make up bizzare enough crap to compete.

IT DON'T MAKE NO CENSUS

Lately there have been assurances from the federal government to go ahead and feel safe and secure answering all kinds of intrusive census questions regarding your personal life. Don’t worry. The information is safe. Commerce spokesperson Nick Kimball emphatically stated so recently. "All United States residents should be fully confident that the individual information they provide on census forms is protected from disclosure by law.” Well then, if we have the assurances of politicians and government officials, and the information is protected by law, why are some of “you people” unwilling to give away all your personal information to the government?

Perhaps it’s because the government doesn’t have a very good track record concerning their own constraints under the law in general and telling the truth in particular. For instance, perhaps I’m dating myself but my Social Security card reads in bold type right there on the front “NOT TO BE USED FOR IDENTIFICATION PURPOSES.” In fact, there is a law against, and penalties proscribed, for people, such as everyone from the doctor to the banker, who ask for and/or use your Social Security number for identification purposes. That’s worked out real well, hasn’t it?

As for census information being protected, ask Americans of Japanese descent how well the government’s own laws “protected” them in 1942. Since our schools are too busy teaching kids to put condoms on cucumbers, and since educators, Hollyweirdos, and the press would never say anything bad about their Socialist hero Franklin Delano Roosevelt, perhaps yet another short history lesson is in order.

In the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 the American West Coast was in a panic over possible Japanese raids and even invasions. Newspapers of the time, showing the same accuracy they do today, carried headlines of Japanese bombers over LA and Japanese submarines practically under the Golden Gate Bridge.

The media in 1942 was just as accurate as it is today.

The government had to do something. And someone had to be blamed and punished. Lacking Hitler’s Jewish scapegoats or Stalin’s “Wreckers” and “Enemies of the State”, the good old “Trust Me” American Federal government decided they should go after Americans of Japanese descent.

So our buddy, our pal, Franklin the Great, Mr. New Deal himself, signed some Executive Orders, most notably E.O. 9066, and “Voila!”; certain classes of American citizens were instantly stripped of the right of habeas corpus as well as their 5th Amendment rights, which our own good ol’ Supreme Court recently shat upon again in the Kelo case. The citizens stripped of their rights, rounded up, and sent to interment camps included WASP military veterans, Tea Partiers, Libertarians, Constitutionalists, and people who refused to answer intrusive census questions.

Whoops. My mistake. Those are the groups to be deprived of their rights in the near future if the health care bill doesn’t pass or Obama gets a second term. The people rounded up in 1942 were Americans of Japanese descent. Some of them were indeed not citizens, but they were legally in the country and laws at the time prevented foreign-born Asian immigrants from becoming citizens. Today, illegal aliens have more rights than U.S. citizens, but I digress.

More than 112,000 people, men, women, and children, were rounded up and hauled off to camps surrounded with guards and barbed wire, and located in some of the most Godforsaken places deep in the interior of the country. Just like the Jews in Germany, internees were only allowed to bring a handful of baggage. Long established farms and businesses had to be sold on short notice for pennies on the dollar. Personal property put into government storage was ransacked. So much for the Fifth Amendment. In 1948, an act was passed to compensate people who had lost property and financial wealth during the interments, but golly gee, wouldn’t you know it, the IRS had destroyed the tax records for the time period in question, making it almost impossible for the hastily moved internees to prove anything had been lost.

Our stalwart defender of the Constitution, the Supreme Court, heard cases in 1944 and ruled that deporting a selected class of folks from military “Exclusion Zones” (read the entire West Coast) was indeed Constitutional. One of the entities created by the feds to handle the “resettlements” was the War Relocation Authority, or WRA. When bad things happen our government tends to heroically respond by creating huge new bloated inefficient government agencies, such as the Department of Homeland Security. In the 1944 case of ex parte Endo the Supremes did at least rule that the WRA had no right to subject loyal citizens to its procedures. Small comfort to those who had already been subjected to those procedures for two years in the camps in the meantime.

Not until the 1980’s were the other cases overturned when it was found out that in the interned plaintiffs' cases against the government they (the government) had altered, suppressed, withheld, and destroyed pertinent evidence so that it could not be used in court. Ask Randy Weaver or Richard Jewel or thousands of others how that works. How can we expect the government to be honest with us when it is incapable of telling itself the truth?

A former Supreme Court Justice, Tom C. Clark, noted of the whole affair, “The truth is—as this deplorable experience proves—that constitutions and laws are not sufficient of themselves.” Amen, brother. That’s why the Founding Fathers put that pesky old Second Amendment in there.

Now what does my long rant have to do with the census anyway? Well, guess where the government got the information to round up folks and send them off to the camps. Why, from the “protected” information gathered in the 1940 Census, of course. Food for thought indeed as you fill out that questionnaire.

Now the Feds, in the form of our "intelligence" agencies have decided to take it up a notch. Now, apparently, if those intelligence agencies suspect an American citizen of being a terrorist who might harm the United States (by which they mean the Federal government) they can just go ahead and blow you away! No fuss, no muss! To hell with costly and time-consuming evidence tampering and show trials! With the new Ronco-brand Justice Department and NIA rules of engagement, you can just fire away and not worry about those pesky legal or Constitutional restrictions!

Don't believe crazy ol' tinfoil hat Bob? How about ABC news? "LICENSE TO KILL? INTELLIGENCE CHIEF SAYS U.S. CAN TAKE OUT AMERICAN TERRORISTS."

Permission? From whom? Certainly not from that pesky ol' United States Constitution they all swore and oath to protect and defend? Who decides whom is a terrorist and a threat to the state?

Will it be Joe Stalin's dangerous "anti-revolutionaries" and "enemies of the people" and kulaks? Mao had his own "enemies of the state", many of them similiar to Uncle Joe's: land owners, the wealthy, intellectuals, scientists, writers, and, the most hienous of all, "possible threats to political power". How about Pol Pot's 2.5 million "New People" and "Depositees"? Or should we keep it simple like Adolph and just blame Jews.

I'm exaggerating for effect, of course. It won't be millions of kulaks. It will only be a couple of hundred of the "terrorists" as seen at the top of the post, defined by the likes of Janet "Reno" Napolitano or Rahm Emmanuel. Make an example of some, and the rest will fall in line. After all, it's for our own good.

Oh, one last thing. To all the RINO's who supported the "Patriot" Act...see, I told you so it was a slippery slope.
