With unprecedented enthusiasm, Iowans have embraced our challenge to become the healthiest state in the nation by 2016. Since it is said that "laughter is the best medicine," we have declared Monday, April 2, as LOL Day in Iowa.

Laughing is one of the best ways to de-stress, and keeping stress to a minimum is an important part of the well-being puzzle. Even if your diet is chock full of grains, fruits and veggies and you exercise every day, if the emotional health piece of the jigsaw is missing, your overall health could be suffering.  You can read more about our state's "rib-tickling" initiative for wellness at the official website iowahealthieststate.com.

In order to aid in this effort, on this day, April 2, Iowa State Troopers will be trading in their usual serious "Smokey the Bear" hats for hilarious multi-colored Afro wigs and bulbous red noses.  Roving teams of these Troopers will be patrolling the streets of Iowa.  Anyone who is caught NOT laughing, chortling, chuckling, giggling, guffawing, snickering, tittering, or in some way exerting their lungs in a mirthful manner will be f*cking shot.

FIVE-YEAR PLANS AND NEW DEALS; MORE HEALTH CARE NEWS

Emperor Obama, whom the state-run media still fails to notice has no clothes, has won another important victory in his healthcare boondoggle. Yes, just as his campaign was endorsed by none other than crackpot Libyan Dictator Muammar Khadafy, his 2,300-page (and counting) health care monstrosity has been endorsed by semi-retired doddering senile Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro! Soon, we will be able to enjoy the same benefits of socialized medicine the Cuban people have, as seen in these pictures of places Michael Moore somehow just happened to miss.

Give it about 25 years, Amerika.

An endorsement from Fidel Castro these days is right up there with an endorsement from Jimmy Carter, but Fidel has long been extolling the virtues of black Democrat leaders. For instance, when Jesse Jackson traveled to Cuba, with an entourage that included Reverend Jeremiah “God-damn America!” Wright, Castro was somehow able to say…with a straight face no less…of Justice Brother Jesse, "He is a great personality, a brilliant man with a great talent, capable of communicating with people, very persuasive, reliable, honest. Jackson's main characteristic is honesty. He is sincere and there is not a single bit of demagoguery in his conversations."

This go-round, Castro did end his endorsement of Obamacare with a scolding to the United States. "It is really incredible that 234 years after the Declaration of Independence ... the government of that country has approved medical attention for the majority of its citizens, something that Cuba was able to do half a century ago," Castro said in an interview from the back of his 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, one of the estimated seventeen automobiles still running on the island.

It should come as no surprise that a Communist Dictator should praise Obamacare. Texas Representative Ron Paul compares it to nothing more than the disastrous old Soviet system of Centralized Planning. I’m sure Uncle Joe would be as approving of this fiasco as Fidel is. Paul noted, “The idea that a handful of brilliant minds can somehow steer an economy is fatal to economic growth and stability. The Soviet Union's economy failed because of its central economic planning, and the U.S. economy will suffer the same fate if we continue down the path toward more centralized control. We need to bring back sound money and free markets- yes, even in health care- if we hope to soften the economic blows coming our way.”

Paul also said, “I had the opportunity last week to address my concerns with both Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, especially about the potential for the coming serious inflation. I am not optimistic that these important decision makers truly understand what is coming, why it is coming, and how best to deal with it.”

“Poo-poo ca-ca!” replied Geithner, the only tax cheat smart enough to save the economy, pausing from eating paste and scribbling on the Mayflower Compact with a crayon. “The Emperor and I know exactly what we’re doing. Now, if you’ll help me tie my shoe, I must be off. The Beverly Hillbillies comes on in five minutes. That Mr. Drysdale is really smart, ain't he?"

Comparing Obamacare to the old Soviet system is indeed apt. After all, it was good old Joe Stalin who said, “One death is a tragedy; one million is a statistic.” And “Death is the solution to all problems. No man - no problem.” Harry Reid, looking up from burning ants on the sidewalk with a magnifying glass, glowered thoughtfully and noted. “Hmmmm. Those would make good slogans for Obamacare when it gets up and running!”

Five out of six Communist Dictators with state-run health care systems, including Dr. Fidel here, agree: "Death is the solution to all problems. No man, no problem."

Representative Michael Burgess, another Republican from Texas, expressed concern that if the mandate in the health care law requiring individuals to purchase health insurance, the federal government could mandate anything, such as requiring all Americans to purchase a General Motors car, for instance.

Nancy Pelosi, taking time out from chasing an imaginary butterfly up and down the aisles of the House of Representatives, tried unsuccessfully to put a thoughtful expression onto her permanently smiling Botoxed face. “That's ridiculous! That could never happen! We’ll force you to buy the Pelosi GTxi SS/Rt Sport Edition 2000 instead."

One bright spot did show up on the radar this week as the Tenth Amendment continues to struggle to rise from its shallow grave. In Utah, roughly two thirds of the state is owned by the Federal government, where Bill Clinton made a 1.7 million acre land grab in 1996 and the Obama Regime is planning to take more. Utah Governor Gary Herbert recently signed a bill authorizing the State of Utah to use “eminent domain” to seize federal land to put it to better use. You never saw those kind of Unintended Consequences coming when you shat upon the Constitution in the Kelo case, did you “Justice” Souter?

However, the very next day heavily-armed federal agents wearing black ski masks bludgeoned Herbert’s state trooper escort and dragged the governor away, kicking and screaming, to an unmarked van.

A Whitehouse spokesperson later said, “Governor Herbert has unexpectedly taken ‘ill’ and we are rushing him to a new federal health care facility in an undisclosed location where we can ‘cure’ him. Trust us. It’s for his own good…and for the children”

Kill the Bill, Invoke the 10th

The federal government takeover of the health care industry and your loss of medical freedom only lacks a Presidential signature to become a federal law. We the people know that this cannot stand if America is to remain a free country. Keep your head up, it is time to invoke the 10th and kill this bill and the others soon to follow once and for all.

Ignore Washington D.C.
They are ignoring you, return the favor. In his speech on Saturday, Obama referred to you as “astroturf”. In political terminology that insinuates that you were paid for your phone calls and someone picked up your travel expenses and bought your dinner for your troubles. That’s one way they ignore you. Another way they ignore you is to use an unscrupulous process to pass an unconstitutional health care bill that changes the foundation of your country overnight.

If you’re like me, when you call representatives, write letters or attend tea parties, you pick up the tab and sacrifice your own personal time in hopes that someone will listen. I’d much rather spend my time and money with my family, business or hobbies than hoping my actions will result in my federal representatives actually representing. And anyone that could have done anything about the health care bill is in Washington D.C., you can’t meet with them, you don’t know them and you cannot reasonably hold them accountable. How can you really expect them to feel any pressure to represent you? Yes, morally your expectations are valid because they should do the will of the people. Unfortunately, the reality is without the power to exert an opposing force, you will continue to be disregarded as a mere annoyance.

Own your State
Last year, I wrote a series of articles for Tenth Amendment Center entitled, “Crossing the Chasm to Freedom”. Using business experience as a template, I argued that the best way to enter a market (in this case a political market) is to dominate a small market, own it and then expand from there. This is a well-known marketing strategy among early stage technology companies. The reason this works is that your limited resources can be used to exert a dominant influence on an identified target and you can expand from there. This is the same strategy that the allies used in World War II to captured the beachhead in Normandy and from there liberate the entire continent of Europe. Imagine the level of failure that the allies would have experienced if the same brave soldiers that took the beach were airdropped all across the countryside. It would have been a complete failure.

In our case, the small market that we can dominate quickly is our state government. From here we can team with other like-minded states and form a block of resistance that has real legal possibilities, much more powerful than rallies, letters and phone calls. Owning our state governments is an absolute necessity.

Ignore the Feds, Empower the States

We have state governments for a reason. Regardless of what today’s media would have you believe, state representatives are not elected state paper-shufflers or federal mandates. State governments share power with the federal government as equal partners in a system designed to decentralize power and protect “we the people” from foreign and domestic threats.

Ignoring D.C. actually means that we must use state governments to defy unconstitutional federal laws, starting with the health care bill today. The federal government itself must be identified as the threat and we must use the legal power of our state governments under the 10th amendment to eliminate the threat, and formally ignore unconstitutional mandates.

Jefferson described the 10th as “the foundation of the Constitution” and added, “to take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn … is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition.”

The feds took that step today.

States have many constitutional options when dealing with the federal government including court challenges, nullification and interposition to name a few. Individually, you do not have these, so you must focus on using your influence to make sure your state representatives know about and are willing to use these tools. The first steps are already moving forward as 37 states have introduced Health Care Freedom legislation. In addition, state attorney generals have already stated their intention to challenge these federal bills as unconstitutional.

Individually, “we the people” have a very important role too. We must influence our state representatives, and then encourage them. And, when the going gets tough we must stand shoulder to shoulder with them in defiance of what will be an intimidating federal response. “Ignore the feds, empower the states” must be our mantra.

Expect a Federal Response

Ghandi had it nailed:

“First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win. “

For the most part, the federal government has ignored any resistance to the health care bill. Tea Parties have been ridiculed as radicals of all varieties such as “tea baggers”, “astroturf”, “racists”, and “domestic terrorists”. But, they have never formally acknowledged the existence of this movement. Once we begin to focus our attention on the state governments, everything changes. The media will be unable to ignore a block of defiant states. Personally, you will be ridiculed as a “tenther” (I think this is pretty cool) but once states exhibit defiance it will not be long before the federal government shifts it’s focus to the states not the individuals. That’s when you will know that you are not being ignored anymore.

At a minimum, your state will be ridiculed as out of touch with reality, as constitutional rogues, racists, and more. The governor of your state and your state representatives will be positioned as little more than common rabble rousers and will be the target of incredible pressure to compromise. But this must be overcome before we can win and we must solidly stand with state representatives. Federal funds will be used to coerce states to comply as has been common practice for some time. This will be specifically painful with health care because defiant state’s federal funds will be used to finance compliant state’s health care. However, this cannot be allowed to stand for any significant amount of time so states must be influenced to pass state legislation that denies the federal government what they covet most, tax revenue.

From here on, resolve will be the key. Not just your resolve, but the resolve of the rest of the citizens in your state. So it’s our responsibility to educate neighbors and make sure the right state representatives are in place.

In order for us to reset this country and return to spending time with our businesses, families and hobbies; we must again in no uncertain terms confirm the revolutionary message that the people are the source of power. The federal government must fear the people, and the state governments are the legal method in which to achieve this goal. Jefferson clarified the goal:

“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”

Here's where we're at on socialized health care. The House and Senate have passed ObamaCare bills, but the two versions are very different. So, the bill can't go to the President until they iron out the differences.

Make no mistake about it. This legislation moves us down the road towards socialism, and it will result in even more gun owners being disqualified from owning firearms.

We need to regroup and renew our efforts to kill ObamaCare -- an outcome which is still very doable.

Now, repeat this phrase over and over: A MORAL CESSPOOL.

If we are going to defeat the anti-gun ObamaCare legislation, these words are going to have to be repeated millions of times over the next month.

Why is this refrain so important? There are several reasons why, but consider this: Throughout this fight over ObamaCare, Senators have lied about guns... they've lied about the deficit... they've lied about the costs of health insurance premiums and how the bill will affect senior citizens. They have lied over and over to their constituents about all these issues.

That's why it's time that we tell Democrat Senators how corrupt their vote for ObamaCare really was. Obviously, they won't agree. So let each Senator make the argument that, "I am not a crook."

That argument never wins elections.

Already, Democrat Representatives and Senators are either switching parties or announcing their retirements. They know the American people are disgusted with the moral bankruptcy of the U.S. Congress -- a situation that has become obvious to anyone who watches the nightly news.

Consider the following despicable practices which were perpetrated in order to push ObamaCare through the Senate last month:

1. Lies

* For months, Senators claimed there were no anti-gun provisions in the ObamaCare legislation. But everyone knew they were lying. So last month, a provision was inserted into the Senate bill which claims to allay the concerns of gun owners -- but leaves the most important problem unremedied. If they weren't lying to begin with, then why try to fix what they claimed wasn't there?

* Senators are now insisting that the current Senate health bill protects the rights of gun owners, even though this version would still allow the BATFE and FBI to troll through the ObamaCare database for gun owners who would be disqualified because of their medical information. This could result in millions of Americans -- who are suffering from PTSD and other similar conditions -- being put into the NICS system and denied the right to buy firearms.

2. Bribes

* A $100 million bribe to treat Sen. Ben Nelson's state different from all others, in exchange for Ben Nelson's vote.

* A $100-300 million bribe to treat Sen. Mary Landrieu's state different from all others, in exchange for Mary Landrieu's vote.

* $10 billion for community health centers operated by groups similar to ACORN, in exchange for Sen. Bernie Sanders' vote.

* A bribe to Sen. Max Baucus in order to treat Libby, Montana, different from any other town.

* A bribe to Sen. Chris Dodd consisting of a $100 million medical center in Connecticut.

* Bribes to Sens. Kent Conrad, Brian Dorgan, Bill Nelson, etc., etc., etc.

* In fact, there are so many bribes in the Senate version of the ObamaCare bill that the bribe-meister himself, Majority Leader Harry Reid, publicly bragged that if your senator doesn't have a bribe in this bill, it "speaks poorly" of him.

3. Extortion

* Threats to take away Sen. Joe Lieberman's chairmanship because of his opposition to the government run "public option."

4. Fraud

* Senators are claiming that the Senate-passed version reduces the deficit, even though:

a. $247 billion of the bill's costs are being snuck through in separate legislation;

b. The "savings" rely on $465 billion of Medicare "cuts," which no one believed were achievable; and

c. The "savings" rely on making new taxes take effect 3-5 years before any of those tax monies are spent.

* Senators are claiming that the bill would make Medicare solvent -- but this claim can only be made by fraudulently double-counting the effects of the phony Medicare cuts.

* Senators are claiming that health care costs would be brought under control, when the government's own Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services found that costs would go up $245 billion.

* Senators are claiming that premiums would be brought under control, even though the Congressional Budget Office found that policies under the "exchange" (i.e., those policies which you would have to buy, under penalty of law) would be 10-13% more expensive than if Congress did nothing.

5. Secrecy

* The final version of the 2407-page bill wasn't revealed until less than 48 hours before Congress began voting on it.

Now that the Christmas holidays are behind us, we need to get back to work. Please take the time to contact your Senator, so that we can protect the rights of gun owners by defeating socialized medicine.

ACTION: Over the next month, the term "moral cesspool" needs to become part of the political lexicon. Below, you will find that two sample communications are attached -- one for Democrat Senators, the other for Republicans.

So please send your letter, and then get your relatives, your friends, your neighbors, your gun clubs, churches, etc., to do the same.

You can use the Gun Owners Legislative Action Center at http://www.gunowners.org/activism.htm to send a pre-written message to your Senators -- the appropriate e-mail will automatically be sent to your Senator, based on whether he or she is a Republican or Democrat.

Dear Senator:

The U.S. Senate has become a moral cesspool, and you need to begin doing something about it before this whole country is sacrificed on the altar of the Senate's moral decay.

You can do this by announcing you will place a "hold" on the nominations of Blanche Lincoln, Evan Bayh, Chris Dodd, Brian Dorgan, and Michael Bennet -- nominations which will inevitably be made next year as a payoff for their votes on behalf of ObamaCare.

It's time that the bribes stopped, and you can make this happen.

THE REAL SCOOP ON SOCIALIZED MEDICINE IN EUROPE

Sorry to step on Ben's post about the renegade Vinton ostrich, but we're coming down to the wire on this looming healthcare "reform" bill. A couple of co-workers I considered otherwise sane and intelligent shocked me by being expressing supporter of the bill this past week. They were completely happy with their own healthcare, but had been convinced the American system was terrible and unfair. But then I found out where they were getting their information...PBS (Pravda) and NPR (Tass).

Apparently these "news" sources and the MSM must be putting on the full court press to pass Obamacare for their false messiah. One guy told me that a man receiving cancer treatment in Great Britain received great, timely care and it only cost $3,000...the same treatment would supposedly cost $200,000 in the United States. The other guy was just blathering on about how superior European health care was because...well...they said so on the radio.

If we had anything even remotely resembling an objective free press engaging in actual journalism in this country, we would know better. But, since we don't, we have to rely on the foreign press to get anything close to the truth. So, for the benefit of all your health care supporter liberal friends, if any, I present the following.

These articles are not just some crazy kooky right-wing Beck/Hannity propaganda. They do not come from a single source. They are not just an isolated example that slipped through the cracks. They come from the real media in Great Britain. I only cited one story per source. Each source listed has literally dozens of horror stories about Britain's NHS, National Health System. There are other sources too numerous to list running the same horror stories. And this is just the British system. Canada can speak of horrors of its own. This is the truth about the socialized medicine systems touted as so successful by everyone from Michael Moore to Max Baucus.

This is what's coming our way folks if we let the political whores in Sodom-on-Potomac socialize 1/6th of the United States economy. It will be a debacle. That is indisputable. It is only a matter of how long it will take. Having managed to once survive visits to the VA, not very bloody long is my guess. This is serious. Contact, or better yet, tar and feather your senator, if you'd rather have a real healthcare system...say, like the one we have now.

Or look into the Orwellian world of Great Britain's National Health System and behold your future.

The Times: "A three-year-old girl awaiting heart surgery has had her operation cancelled three times this month because of a shortage of beds."

BBC: "NHS and social services in England are failing to meet the health needs of people with learning disabilities, investigators say."

The Guardian: "Children in Britain are being failed by a culture that gives them low priority, exposing them to poor healthcare, knife crime and sexually transmitted diseases, according to the outgoing head of the Healthcare Commission."

Management in Practice: "The leader of Scotland’s GPs yesterday (12 March 2009) accused the government of relying on “politically driven targets”, instead of “clinically driven, evidence-based policy”, and warned that this approach threatened to undermine the success of Scottish general practice."

Daily Telegraph: "Children are being put at risk by inexperienced surgeons and a lack of basic child protection training in hospitals, a damning report from the health watchdog has found."

The Harwich and Manningtree Standard: "Children's nurses who specialise in diabetes are being vastly overworked, a charity has said."

The Metro: "Patients face a lottery which dictates how much is spent on their dental treatment, new figures suggest.
Some could rely on £50 each, while others were given just £30 each, the NHS revealed on Wednesday."

The Scotsman: "A LOTHIAN woman was told she was being taken off a consultant's waiting list so the target 18-week waiting time for treatment could be met, it was claimed today."

Post Chronicle: "Britain's National Health Service is advising general practitioners to refer fewer patients to specialists and to restrict patients' access to a second opinion."

Reuters: "Britain's cost-effectiveness medicines watchdog ruled on Friday that costly erythropoietin (EPO) drugs should not be used to treat anaemia caused by anti-cancer therapy, dealing a blow to drug firms and cancer campaigners."

Financial Times: "NHS faces rising bill for negligence claims."

The ethos of the UK National Health Service is being eroded and is excluding the very people it is designed to help, a scathing new report has said."

It just goes on and on and on. I have barely scratched the surface, listing only a few articles from a few sources. It's funny that our teeming swarms of journalists can't pick up on any of this.

HEALTH CARE "LIES" LIE WITH THE LEFT

It's hard to say anything jocular about the health care "reform" bill now that the House of Reprehensitives has passed, by a narrow margin, their 2,000-page monstrosity. When it heads to the Senate, the only thing that might save us is the threat of a politician's only fear; getting voted out. Thanks to the McCain Incumbent Protection Act, aka "campaign finance reform", the parasitical incumbents who "serve for life", like Teddy K, are much harder to oust, but these particular rats are getting the American people so PO'ed that we're finally ready to kick their fat, corrupt behinds right out of Sodom-on-Potomac.

When I write my Congresscritters these days, I do it as just a token gesture. We the People (the ones who work and pay taxes to support this BS) have no representation in government anymore. When the first "stimulus" bill came along, constituents contacting their Congresbuffoons were running 85% nay on the deal, but the political scum on the thrones merely laughed, spat in our faces, and passed it anyway. I'll continue to play the game and pretend my voice counts just to say I did all I could until the stupid bastards lead this nation to complete ruin and anarchy and they themselves wind up (quite deserved so) hanging from the lamp posts. Don't expect to see me shedding tears over them.

But this time around there's the smell of fear in the air as our "representatives" put on a full court press trying to sell this latest Oceanfront-Property-in-Arizona to the awakening public as "a good thing". They see many lost seats in Congress on the horizon, but still continue to push this horrible thing.

Anyone who says anything negative about the health care bill is a "liar". Just like anyone remotely critical of the Messiah is a racist. Opposition consists only of greedy doctors and insurance companies swimming in ill-gotten profits they screwed us out of (as opposed to just taxing folks 60% of their income under threat of prisons and violent men with guns). The supporters NEVER argue the individual points put forth by the critics, the ones that a written in black and white in the Giant Mutant Bill From Hell, because if they did the whole "liar" thing would end up pointing right at them.

I couldn't force myself to even begin to wading through this latest 2,000-page behemoth as I did the earlier 1,000-page Cliff Notes version. Fortunately, someone forwarded me this email. It is long and not exactly a page-turner and I have not yet looked up each point to fact check them (I just called the doc a liar). However, for what it's worth, here's the points one of those pesky doctors make in regards to the latest greatest monstrous health care "reform" bill. (PS: it also has the ability to create 111 new bureaucracies to administer Obamacare.)

As a practicing physician I have major concerns with the health care bill before Congress. I actually have read the bill and am shocked by the brazenness of the government's proposed involvement in the patient-physician relationship. The very idea that the government will dictate and ration patient care is dangerous and certainly not helpful in designing a health care system that works for all. Every physician I work with agrees that we need to fix our health care system, but the proposed bills currently making their way through congress will be a disaster if passed.

OBAMACARE...BROKEN PROMISES & BURGEONING COSTS... AND IT SURE AIN'T THE FIRST TIME

We have been told by our fearless leaders not to worry about the cost of Obamacare; it will pay for itself. And certainly it will never morph into some Pandora's box of ever increasing cost, control, and bureaucracy. At this point, I'm hoping that only a few dozen sheeple, Acorn and Service Workers Union folks, and maybe some of the really stupid domestic animals like cows and sheep still believe such tripe, but then I've grossly underestimated the stupidity of the American people before.

To educate those last remaining die-hard dimwits who still believe government is the solution and keeps its promises, let's step into the Way-Back Machine with Richard A. Viguerie and Steven J. Allen. Seldom do I post an entire article from someone else, but this one is too good, detailing the long string of lies, gross cost-overruns, and failed programs that is American politics. And Obamacare will be different how?

Politicians Earned Distrust

Politicians lie. A few politicians are honest. Sometimes, even, what appears to be politicians' lying is just incompetence and cluelessness. The point is that when politicians are trying to sell the public on a big program, they don't let the actual costs and consequences of the program get in the way.

In fact, the next time a tax or a program costs what politicians say will be the first time.

In 1913, proponents of a federal income tax promised that only the top one-half of 1 percent of income earners would be subject to the tax, with the maximum tax on the super-rich at 7 percent. How did that work out?

In 1936, we were promised in an official pamphlet that the Social Security tax would rise gradually until it hit 3 percent from the employee and 3 percent from the employer on the first $3,000 of income. "That is the most you will ever pay," according to the pamphlet. Today, the maximum Social Security tax, adjusted for inflation, is eight times that amount. With the Medicare tax, it's 10 times that amount.

In the official pamphlet, Americans were told that "the United States government will set up a Social Security account for you" - saving your money as in a bank account. No such accounts were set up. The pamphlet promised, "The checks will come to you as a right." The Supreme Court ruled later that there is no such right.

Medicare, in the mid-1960s, was likewise sold to the American people with false promises. The Johnson administration projected that the cost of Medicare in 1990, inflation included, would be $12 billion. The actual figure was almost 10 times as much.

Today, adjusted for inflation, Medicare costs nearly 900 percent more than it did in 1970. Compared to the size of the population, the cost has increased about 600 percent. Compared to the size of the economy, the cost has quadrupled. That's without counting the prescription
drug benefit that was added to the Medicare program during George W. Bush's administration.

Today, the unfunded liability of Medicare works out to more than $700,000 for each family in America - which means that the Medicare liability alone will eventually bankrupt the country, if the country's not already bankrupted by other programs.

The people paying for Medicare were cheated. So were Medicare beneficiaries. The Medicare Act of 1965 prohibited the government from restricting the provision of medicine or medical
services, or the compensation therefor, or the selection of health care providers. Today, Medicare is so restrictive that Obamacare advocates cite it as a model for controlling costs.

Where are the politicians who knew, or should have known, that the rosy claims about Medicare were phony? Today, most are retired and living the high life, or they're gone on to the afterlife. None will pay an earthly price for being crooked, disingenuous or clueless.

Conversely, what happened to those who warned that Medicare would bankrupt America? They were libeled as heartless and hateful toward senior citizens, and, as a result, many of them were defeated for re-election or never got elected in the first place.

But it's more than just Social Security and Medicare.

Of the Civil Rights Act of 1965, Hubert Humphrey said: "If the senator can find in Title VII any language which provides that an employer would have to hire on the basis of percentage or quota related to color, race, religion, or national origin, I will start eating the pages one after another, because it is not in there." Today, racial discrimination, including the "affirmative" kind, is ingrained in the policies of universities, major corporations and the government.

Politicians who called themselves Keynesians promised falsely, especially in the 1930s and the '70s, that government could spend our way to prosperity.

Politicians promised the United Nations would promote the democratic, freedom-loving values of the American people rather than the values of the thieves and dictators who control the majority of the United Nations member states.

History proves voters cannot trust politicians. They can't trust politicians' allies in the
bureaucracy, the media or academia.

Today, Americans' level of skepticism has risen, yet they are mocked and criticized for that. The political elite have grown increasingly desperate, and their claims increasingly preposterous. Voter skepticism, though, intensifies with every media "fact check" that turns out to be false (no new taxes on the middle class in the health care plan, no coverage for illegal immigrants or for abortions - yeah, right). Does any sane person really believe Obamacare is going to pay for
itself, or that it's going to be paid for by tax increases only on the rich?

Voters have learned to apply greater skepticism to each and every claim politicians make, and are calling them on their promises. At Tea Parties and Town Halls, in blogs and in protest marches, Americans are declaring: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me for a hundredth time - well, that just ain't gonna happen.

I'M NOT A DOCTOR...BUT I DID STAY AT A HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS LAST NIGHT

It all started with my morning talk show, Voices of Montana, where the guest was the premiere neurosurgeon in the state of Montana, an extremely articulate and well-respected doctor by the name of Carter Beck, who is opposed to socialized medicine. Inevitably, the show's resident uber-liberal, "Ken in Great Falls" had to call in and sound off. If the show's host had a rocket scientist or a nuclear physicist on as a guest, Ken would call in and harangue them on what idiots they were and how much more he knows about rocket science and nuclear physics. He, of course, took the same tack with a brilliant neurosurgeon.

Ken, apparently fresh from watching a Michael Moore crockumentary, went off on long and loud rants about how utterly horrible and worthless our health care system here in the U.S. is and how wonderful and Utopian the health care system in Canada is. Dr. Beck quietly and calmly refuted those claims using facts and figures and logic, reading articles from Canadian doctors and government officials bemoaning what a complete fiasco their system is. Ken quickly turned to the usual tactic of shouting, calling the doctor names, and accusing him of lying.

Meanwhile, back in Sodom on Potomac, Rahm Emanuel's brother Ezekiel, imminently qualified to be Health Czar due to his being cranked out by the same parents who gave us the Whitehouse chief-of-staff himself, was criticizing other doctors for their silly out-dated ideas of saving peoples' lives and stoutly defending the precepts of Obamacare. Namely, shove Grandma Uluk out on the ice floe for the polar bears to eat.

Dr. Emanuel spoke on the subject of health care reform, chastising other doctors that they, "...
take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or the effects on others.” And some folks just ain't worth saving, in the good doctor's opinion. “Medical care should not be given to those who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia.”

He then said something about "eugenics", leaped out of his wheelchair, rendered a stiff-armed Nazi salute, and shouted "Mien Fuhrer! I can walk!"

Down at the good old U.N. ("White man come in great iron bird, slay simba with firestick, make Chief Umbula senior member of United Nations Security Council") the experts at the World Health Organization are having a hissy fit over the Swine Flu Redeux. I guess they have to try to panic the sheeple into submission with something since the whole bird flu thing kind of turned out to be a flop. Running in circles and screaming, one WHO official noted that some 2,100 people worldwide have died of the new swine flu since April! This is a horrifying statistic, especially in light of the fact that the ordinary garden-variety flu causes an estimated 100,000 hospitalizations and 20,000 deaths per year.

Fortunately, they're working on new vaccines for the world's various governments to inject into their citizens. Just like the Ford Administration did back in 1976 when Uncle Sammy, ever known for his over-reaction and sheer incompetence, tried to vaccinate everyone in the U.S. against Swine Flu Mk. I. Less than a third of the population ever got the vaccination. The flu killed 1 and hospitalized 13; the vaccine killed 13 and hospitalized over 500.

Fearing that two thirds of the population could once again escape mandatory vaccinations, the legislature of Taxachusetts is working on an Orwellian "Pandemic Response Bill" that would basically just suspend the Constitution outright for as long as the authorities deemed it necessary. Benefits include warrant less searches and seizures, arrests, fines, government price fixing, forced vaccinations (and arrests for those who refuse), forced "involuntary transportation", etc, etc.

The good old Obama health care bill we're all "lying" about by quoting from it, adds an interesting twist to the whole forced vaccination thing. Section 2521 of H.R. 3200, entitled National Medical Device Registry, says:

" (1) The Secretary shall establish a national medical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the ‘registry’) to facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each device that—
``(A) is or has been used in or on a patient; and
``(B) is—
``(i) a class III device; or
``(ii) a class II device that is implantable, life-supporting, or life-sustaining."

It doesn't specifically come right out and say, "Take the mark of the Beast", but "an implantable device" is ambiguous enough for the government to take all kinds of liberties with. When has the government ever read less power for themselves into any document, to include the Constitution?

When it comes time to transit from tinfoil hat country to reality, as so many wacky "conspiracies" have lately (information finally released on the Gulf of Tonkin comes readily to mind) good old VeriChip Corporation, which has already made and implanted RFID chips in humans, is ready and waiting in the wings. Why, they're even already officially approved by the Food & Drug Administration and, coincidentally, just happened to branch out into the "green energy" business in time to receive a $3 billion piece of the stimulus pie.

Hello All,

By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Bill and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on.

On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date.

On about Tuesday Bill found out that they would be holding the "Town Hall" at the airport. (This is only because Bill knows EVERYONE at the airport) Our airport is actually located outside of Belgrade (tiny town) in a very remote location. Nothing is around there. They chose to use a hangar that is the most remotely located hangar. You could not pick a more remote location, and you can not get to it easily. It is totally secluded from the public.


FYI: We have many areas in Belgrade and Bozeman which could have held a large amount of folks with sufficient parking. (gymnasiums/auditoriums). All of which have chairs and tables, and would not have to be SHIPPED IN!! $$$$$

During the week, cargo by the TONS was being shipped in constantly. Airport employees could not believe how it just kept coming. Though it was our President coming several expressed how excessive it was, especially during a recession. $$$$$

Late Tuesday/early Wednesday the 12th, they said that tickets would be handed out on Thursday 9am at two locations and the president would be arriving around 12:30 Friday.

Thursday morning about 600 tickets were passed out. However, 1500 were printed at a Local printing shop per White House request. Hmmmm......900 tickets just DISAPPEARED.

This same morning someone called into the radio from the local UPS branch and said that THOUSANDS of Dollars of Lobster were shipped in for Obama. Montana has some of the best beef in the nation!!! And it would have been really wonderful to help out the local economy. Anyone heard of the Recession?? Just think...with all of the traveling the White House is doing. $$$$$ One can only imagine what else we are paying for.

On Friday Bill and I got out to the airport about 10:45am. The groups that wanted to protest Obama's spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up onto the area (illegal)and unloaded right there. It was quite a commotion and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a fight. Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd.

The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts. Oh, and Planned Parenthood folks were with them.....professing abortion rights with their T-shirts and preprinted signs. (BTW, all these folks did have a permit to protest in ANOTHER area)

Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid confrontation. They were orderly and respectful. Even though SEIU kept coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and aggressive at the direction of the one SEIU man.

So we had Montana folks from ALL OVER the state with their homemade signs and their DOGS with homemade signs. We had cowboys, nurses, doctors you name it. There was even a guy from Texas who had been driving through. He found out about the occasion, went to the store, made a sign, and came to protest.

If you are wondering about the press.....Well, all of the major networks were over by that remote hangar I mentioned. They were conveniently parked on the other side of the buildings FAR away. None of these crowds were even visible to them. I have my doubts that they knew anything about the crowds.

We did have some local news media around us from this state and Idaho . Speaking of the local media...they were invited. However, all questions were to be turned into the White House in advance of the event. Wouldn't want anyone to have to think off the top of their head.

It was very obvious that it was meant to be totally controlled by the White House. Everything was orchestrated down to the last detail to make it appear that Montana is just crazy for Obama and government healthcare. Even those people that talked about their insurance woes........the White House called our local HRDC (Human Resource and Development Committee) and asked for names. Then the White House asked those folks to come. Smoke and mirrors...EVERYTHING was staged!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very dismayed about what I learned about our current White House. The amount of control and manipulation was unbelievable. I felt I was not living in the United States of America , more like the USSR !! I was physically nauseous. Bill and I have been around when Presidents or Heads of State visit. It has NEVER been like this. I am truly very frightened for our country. America needs your prayers and your voices. If you care about our country please get involved. Know the issues. And let Congress hear your voices again and again!! If they are willing to put forth so much effort to BULLY a small town one can only imagine what is going on in Washington DC . Scary!!

WARNING! HEALTH CARE LIES! REPORT IMMEDIATELY TO WHITEHOUSE NKVD!

I am enjoying the brilliant dialog regarding ramming Obamacare down everyone’s throats, whether they want it or not. I have yet to hear the likes of Pelosi or Reid or the Big 0 himself refute the “lies” about the bill by something zany like, oh, say, actually showing what part of the bill refutes the “lie”. In fact, most of the leading proponents of said bill have admitted they don’t even know what the hell is in it (just like the “stimulus” bill).

No wonder they haven’t read the Frankenstein monstrosity they have created. Standing, at the moment, at 1,018 pages, longer by far than the King James Bible, nobody, with the possible exception of maybe Ron Paul, has actually read the cursed thing. The vids are out there of Pelosi, Ried, Spector, and Conyers admitting…on national television…that they certainly haven’t actually read the darn thing that they’re touting so heavily.

The Great & Powerful O himself obviously hasn’t. When asked, “Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?” The Big 0, eyes darting frantically about in search of a teleprompter, said, “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.”

Barack Mugabe went on to insist, “If you have health insurance and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.”

This, now, is what is known as a lie. Page 16 of the Health Care “Reform” Bill would refute it, right there under the Newspeak provision of “Protecting Choice to Keep Current Coverage” it says: "Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law.

That is, you keep your coverage until anything whatsoever changes.

Such pesky little details are why the unread bill’s proponents have to resort to the mature, intellectual, statesman-like rebuttal of name-calling. “Nazi! Mob! Racist! Un-American! Timothy McVeigh! Terrorist!”

Instead, why don’t we take a quick little peek at some of the actual bill.

For instance, on page 31 the odious bill states: "There is established a private-public advisory committee which shall be a panel of medical and other experts to be known as the Health Benefits Advisory Committee to recommend covered benefits and essential, enhanced, and premium plans."

In other words, these “experts” get to, in the end, decide what treatment you can actually get. As in England, with their socialized medicine. You have breast cancer and you’re over a certain age? So sorry. Not covered. Too expensive for too little return. Enjoy your agonizing death.

The committee itself partially consists of 9 non-government “experts” picked by the President, aka a bunch of union thugs and ACORN hooligans.

On page 29 we see one of several references regarding what amounts to rationing. "(A) ANNUAL LIMITATION.—The cost-sharing incurred under the essential benefits package with respect to an individual (or family) for a year does not exceed the applicable level specified in subparagraph (B)."

Page 50: "SEC. 152. PROHIBITING DISCRIMINATION IN HEALTH CARE. (a) IN GENERAL.—Except as otherwise explicitly permitted by this Act and by subsequent regulations consistent with this Act, all health care and related services (including insurance coverage and public health activities) covered by this Act shall be provided without regard to personal characteristics extraneous to the provision of high quality health care or related services."

Or “You get to keep paying for illegals, and pay more.”

On page 59, we find out that Uncle Sam can dip into your personal bank account and extract whatever payment he deems appropriate. "(C) enable electronic funds transfers, in order to allow automated reconciliation with the related health care payment and remittance advice;"

Here (pp-97-98) you get saddled with a random plan you may not want, but it’s not like you have a choice: “(3) AUTOMATIC ENROLLMENT FOR NON-MEDICAID ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS.—(A) IN GENERAL.—The Commissioner shall provide for a process under which individuals who are Exchange-eligible individuals described in subparagraph (B) are automatically enrolled under an appropriate Exchange-participating health benefits plan. Such process may involve a random assignment or some other form of assignment that takes into account the health care providers used by the individual involved or such other relevant factors as the Commissioner may specify.”


Your employer can also be forced to thrust you into a random health plan (p145): “(4) AUTOENROLLMENT OF EMPLOYEES.—The employer provides for autoenrollment of the employee in accordance with subsection (c).”

On p124 we find the government can slap any old price they want to on things (can you say price fixing…which is a VERY BAD THING if private enterprise ever tries it) and there will be no legal recourse against it.

“(f) LIMITATIONS ON REVIEW.—There shall be no administrative or judicial review of a payment rate or methodology established under this section…”

Now let's say you’re a Christian, a real one not just a pretend one around election time, and don’t care to have the "treatment" of an RFID chip implanted in your hand or head someday in the future. P170 says tough. You apply for an exemption, and the Secretary gets to play God and decide yea or nay.

‘‘(B) EXEMPTION.—An application for the exemption described in subparagraph (A) shall be filed with the Secretary at such time and in such form and manner as the Secretary may prescribe. Any such exemption granted by the Secretary shall be effective for such period as the Secretary determines appropriate."

On P203 we find the kind or Orwellian language only our duly elected reprehensitives can come up with. “The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax…” Watch for more of the same in upcoming bills. With such language, you can raise the hell out of the taxes on people making less than $250,000 a year and then say you didn’t raise their taxes, as promised.

We also see (p241) that the government gets to decide what doctors are “worth” and how much they get paid…which will be all at the same rate. “Service categories established under this paragraph shall apply without regard to the specialty of the physician furnishing the service.’’

So the government decides upon a doctor's salary and then a witch doctor gets paid the same as a neurosurgeon. Now there’s an incentive to spend 8+ years and a couple hundred grand on college and med school. It's also in the bill, I noted in passing, how much the government will (surprise) increase bureaucracy in healthcare. Bureaucracy and red tape is already the most noted reason by far that a recent survey of doctors said they wanted to get out of the practice. Where are we even going to get doctors...let alone competent ones...under such a system?

On pp317-318 it’s laid down that even if you have a functional hospital, you can’t expand it even if, say, something wacky happens, like the population of the area increasing.

‘‘(C) PROHIBITION ON EXPANSION OF FACILITY CAPACITY.—Except as provided in paragraph (2), the number of operating rooms, procedure rooms, or beds of the hospital at any time on or after the date of the enactment of this subsection are no greater than the number of operating rooms, procedure rooms, or beds, respectively, as of such date.”

That’s just a few things I picked up on a quick skim through. God only knows what other horrors lurk within those thousand unread pages. We could, unlike our public servants who are being paid handsomely to do so, actually read the whole thing.

But why bother? It’s so much easier to just say, “Nazi! Mob! Racist! Un-American! Timothy McVeigh! Terrorist!”

Obama Says: Turn In Healthcare Plan Critics

TAKE AWAY THEIR HEALTHCARE AND SILENCE ALL DISSENT: IT'S THE NEW AMERICAN WAY

WASHINGTON — The Obama Regime and Demoncrats in Congress have proudly announced, “We plan to inflict upon the American people the largest middle-class tax increase in history!”

Whoops. No, wait. That was what it was called during the presidential campaign when Juan McCain proposed the idea of taxing health care benefits. And that was with Juan at least offering we the people a $5000 tax credit to let us keep a wee bit of our own money.

Now that the Dems have been spending trillions like drunken sailors, pissing away money we don’t have, and sky-rocketing the already atrocious debt, they have finally started to think that maybe there might have to be some funds to pay for all their shenanigans. Suddenly, McCain’s greedy evil plot is now a wonderful, viable, needed pogrom, er, I mean program.

Much to my disgust and contempt, Montana’s senior senator Max Baucus is leading the charge to punish the few who are still employed and still have health care in order to pay for massive wasteful useless government spending programs dreamed up by Max and his congressional cronies. By a strange coincidence, all Congresscritters just happen to be exempt from paying Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and all other taxes while they “serve” us.

Max said, "Everybody's got to share together in the solution." Except, of course, for the assinine government officials who caused the mess.

Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) babbled, "I think it's extremely important from a credibility standpoint to show the American people that you're making savings in the enormous sums now being spent on health care before you go out and ask them for billions of dollars more."

I could spend all day on that statement. (A) You corrput sleazebags have no credibilty anymore. (B) "raising our taxes" is not "making savings". (C) You don't ask for billions of dollars, you just take it.

Let's say you don’t want to play along with the crooked scams of the new regime. Prepare to be attacked and demonized. Just ask South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford. He decided to have his state“just say no” to wasteful pointless “stimulus” money with all the little federal strings attached to it, and now he is on the poopoo list of the Obama Regime.

According to this politico story…Sanford communications director Joel Sawyer responds: "Governor Sanford continues to believe that problems created by too much debt will never be solved by more debt. It's time to put the partisan politics aside and for people who supported this stimulus legislation to start shooting straight with taxpayers on who is paying the bill for all of this spending. This so-called 'stimulus' represents a federal predatory loan, the cost of which will be borne by future generations who will never have a chance to vote from office the very people who are saddling them with unprecedented spending and guaranteed future tax increases."

The DNC responded with paid TV attack ads trying to demonize Sanford. They eloquently defended the strong merits, integrity, and importance of their “stimulus” packages thus: “Sanford sucks! He is a big poopoo head! He won’t play nice! We’re gonna dump sand down his pants out in the sandbox!”

In reality, the DNC ad ends a little more ominously, “If he wants to use the jobs and recovery plan to posture, we're going make him pay a price." Sanford has reportedly bought a waterproof pillow as he was also told he would enjoy “sleeping with the fishes.”

If all this isn’t enough, now any of us who dare to even think bad thoughts about Big Brother or presume to favor a third political party over the entrenched corrupt "Big Two" are at best militia men and at worst domestic terrorists. Below is part of a bulletin distributed to some law enforcement agencies in Missouri on “dangers” to look for. What should police officers keep a wary eye out for to identify Nazi kooks who are gonna leap out of their cars tossing potato mashers and firing Schmeissers?

From the bulletin: “Militia members most commonly associate with 3rd party political groups. It is not uncommon for militia members to display Constitutional party, Campaign for Liberty, or Libertarian material. These members are usually supporters of former Presidential Candidate: Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr.”

Attorney General Eric “Heinrich” Holder added, “Soon, we will require all parties who meet these criteria to wear armbands so that they may be readily identified. We’re not sure what to put on the armband yet; the six-sided star has already been used. But we’ll think of something. Maybe a little picture of the Constitution with that big red 'Ghostbusters' X through it.”
